Possible Studio is founded by filmmaker, journalist, entrepreneur team Duncan McDowall and Tristan Copley Smith. The team bring a multi-disciplinary approach to stortelling, sharing a vision for a world transformed by scientifically targeted storytelling. Their network of industry specialists can expand and contract to meet the demands of any creative storytelling project.

    Tristan is an award winning filmmaker, journalist and entrepreneur based in London. His work, which focusses at the interestion of technology and the environment, has been published in Al Jazeera, the Guardian and film festivals around the world. He is a recepient of the Shuttleworth Fellowship and is an MIT Innovator Under 35.

  • Co-Founder

    Duncan is an award-winning Canadian filmmaker with 20 years experience in documentary and fiction. He was also a senior advertising creative where he wrote, directed and produced branded content campaigns. His doc and fiction films have gone on to wide critical, festival and viral appeal, been included in museum exhibits and used as part of university curricula. Duncan is also active with the OpenAir Carbon Removal Collective and aims to help the fight against the climate crisis gain wider appeal through Possible Studio.
